Two ABDO™ Hacks to Compliment Your Concealed Carry Life.

6-28-16-Body-Image.jpgHave you heard about ABDO™ yet? If you already have one, or are considering an ABDO™, here are two ABDO™ tips and tricks to unlocking the full potential of your ABDO™ experience!

The Ambidextrous ABDO™

Are you a lefty? The future of concealed carry is not just innovative but also ambidextrous. If you are a current ABDO™ owner, or considering buying one, worry no more! ABDO™ is designed for all, with just a few minor alterations it can be left hand accessible.

ABDO™ holds your firearm in place with a barrel pin. By moving the pin over to the opposite side of the interior of the safe you can reconfigure it to be left-hand accessible. This pin is securely attached by two screws accessible on the back, right side of the ABDO™’s exterior. Once these are loosened you can move the pin over and re-attach to the left-hand side. Once this has been moved you can adjust the pin in slight increments to accommodate your specific firearm.

Adjusting your ABDO™

Have you tried holstering your ABDO™ with your favorite concealed carry sidearm and found it won’t fit right out of the box? You may want to check to make sure your firearm doesn’t have a round loaded in the chamber. ABDO™ comes standard with a barrel pin to hold your firearm securely in place. For your own personal safety and the safety of others this pin ships standard at a length that does not allow for holstering your firearm with a round in the chamber. However there is a way to make this work with a quick modification. Do not do this modification without proper training and licensing.

If you wish to make this modification, you can cut the length of the ABDO™’s barrel pin down to shorten barrel pin to 1.75” (1 ¾”) overall by cutting pin with a hacksaw. Length of pin is measured from base where screw connects pin to your ABDO™. You will want to deburr and round cut end of barrel pin with sand paper or file once cutting is complete. Make sure firearm rests on barrel end, not on pin with round in chamber. Once this is complete you will be able to holster with a round in the chamber.

We hope you find these ADBO™ hacks to be both informative and useful! There will be more to come so please check back at our home on the web for more information as well as the latest in ABDO news!
